Bishop Daniel B. Salley Jr.

Bishop Daniel B. Salley Jr. is the Senior Pastor and Founder of Redeeming Life Ministries International (RLMI) since its inception in January 1998. Bishop Salley is the offspring of a legacy and generation of ordained ministers and pastors; embarking upon ministry in 1983, while serving as the lay leader responsible for facilitating Bible Studies and Military Gospel Services at the USN Naval Base Military Chapel, located in USA Guam.  Upon completing a successful military career, he accepted his distinguished call to serve in ministry and has faithfully and compassionately pursued this divine privilege and honor of a lifetime.  Bishop Salley is a graduate of Central Texas College, Jericho Christian Training College, has completed a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry at Christian Bible College and Seminary, and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree.

The preliminary start of the church ministry began as a Bible study in the family home in July 1997.  After six months of home Bible studies, and through earnest prayer, the portals of heaven unleashed a kingdom vision to launch the church on January 4, 1998.  Sunday morning and Wednesday evening church services were conducted from the banquet halls of the Holiday Inn located in Waldorf, Maryland. The church progressively grew under the auspicious and imprimatur of God.  Thereabout November 1999, the church was transitioned to White Plains, Maryland, where it expanded its internal ministries to influence and positively impact the surrounding communities.  It was in this season when The Master’s Touch Christian Academy, an accredited early childhood development learning institute, was established and became quite instrumental in the continuous growth of the church membership.

In November 2011, God’s imprimatur once again favorably embarked upon the shores of the ministry by enabling the church to purchase and complete the building and settlement of the church property in Port Tobacco, Maryland; where church services are currently being conducted.  During the tenure of RLMI, God continues to enable its ministry accomplishments and increase the growth and spiritual development of this covenant family.

Bishop Salley facilitates sacred strategies, exemplifies business shrewdness, demonstrates unprecedented leadership, exhibits exceptional church planning disciplines/strategies and demonstrates a genuine heart of compassion.  He is an anointed and accomplished orator of the Word of God and is known for his unwavering commitment to God’s unadulterated Word, including teaching about spiritual warfare and kingdom prosperity.  A practical teacher of the scriptures, he is requested to share God’s anointed Word at many churches, conferences and a host of seminars throughout the USA, as well as internationally.  His many messages of hope, faith and righteous living are available on the church’s website: www.rlmintl.org.

Bishop Salley was consecrated to the Holy Office of Bishop on May 2, 2015.  He serves as the First Assistant under the auspices of the Honorable Bishop Eugene V. Reeves, the Presiding Bishop of the Eagle’s Rock Communion of Christian Leaders (ERCCL).  Furthermore, he serves as the Chaplain and a member of the Board of Directors of the United Minister’s Coalition of Southern Maryland (UMCSM); and is the president and founder of the Southern Maryland Community Enrichment Center (SOMCEC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Bishop Salley has been married for 51 years to the love of his life, Barbara A. Salley, who serves as Executive Pastor.  They are blessed with three adult children; Denascia, Demetrius, and Danielle, as well as a daughter-in-law, DeShawn Salley.  All are serving in the ministry.  They are the proud grandparents of three grandchildren, Demetrius, Jr., Damonte and Daisha.
