Bishop John H. Reid, III

Bishop John H. Reid, III is an anointed man of God with a sincere desire to feed the flock of God with a message of hope for these last days. Jesus said, “If you love me feed my sheep.” His ministry roots are in Macon, GA where he was an ordained Elder and Evangelist with the Church of God in Christ, Southern Georgia Jurisdiction under the leadership of the late Bishop J.C. Hicks. After moving to Virginia, he served twelve years at Cornerstone Christian Center where he was an Associate Pastor and four years as an instructor at the Cornerstone Bible Institute. He retired from the federal government after 34 years of service.

Bishop Reid attended Savannah State College, studied abroad at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercer University. His education endeavors also include a Master’s Degree in Managing Change from Marymount University and a Doctor of Divinity degree from Logos University.

In July of 2003 Dr. John and Pastor Viviann Reid officially opened the doors and established Victory Family Outreach Ministries, Inc. in Woodbridge, VA where he served as the Senior Pastor until November 2018. He served in this role for fifteen years and has remained faithful to the labor of the Lord for over 49 years.

Dr. Reid presently serves as a Bishop and the General Secretary in the Eagles Rock Communion of Christian Leaders in support of the Honorable Bishop Eugene V. Reeves. He was consecrated to the bishopric in 2015. While in Virginia, Bishop Reid was active in the local community and served as Co-President of the Prince William County Ministerial Association. He has traveled extensively as a missionary, preaching and teaching the Word of God in Africa, Europe and Central America.

Bishop John and Pastor Viviann Reid have been married fifty-two years and are the proud parents of four sons, Alex, Warren, John IV, and Troy (deceased). They have five grandchildren (one deceased). The couple relocated to the state of Georgia after residing in the Washington, DC area for nearly 28 years.

John Reid is a visionary who believes in a church “without walls.” Through his ministry many have been saved, healed and delivered. He is a man of integrity and full of the Holy Spirit. His unique style of bringing the Word of God to life through illustrative and practical teaching continues to stir the hearts of all those who hear. He does not merely desire to preach and teach the Word of God; his goal is to reach the people of God with the message that Jesus Christ can make a difference in their lives.

Eight years ago, he officially launched John Reid Ministries, Inc. which is an arm of his online ministry outreach at www.johnreidmin.org. He is presently completing two novels and is an accomplished conference preacher, speaker, missionary, consultant, and theological instructor with experience throughout the U.S. and other countries. He also operates an independent School of Ministry that has supported leadership development around the world. He is presently serving as an associate Professor at Ethnos College.
